真似るvs. Bad artists copy. Good artists steal." - Pablo Picasso, T.S. Eliot (+Banksy)

Picasso said "Bad artists copy. Good artists steal."

When Steve Jobs quoted it during a 1996 PBS documentary Triumph of the Nerds, he quoted  "Good artists copy. Great artists steal."  I wonder who modified it.... Banksy?

In either way, the idea is the same; bad artists do nothing but mimicking works by somebody else, whereas true artists take in whatever surrounding them and turn them into their own art.

T.S. Eliot said exactly same thing; "Good Poets Borrow, Great Poets Steal
