ティム・クックとランス・アームストロングが並んだ朝刊：Tim Cook and Lance Armstrong on Frontpage

Days before his anniversary as Apple's CEO, Tim Cook learned his company surpassed Microsoft with the record high market cap.  His joy was probably a bit tainted when another news came in; Lance Armstrong, the guy Cook admires so much as to mimicking his hair, stopped fighting doping charges, saying "enough is enough."   The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency moved on to announce today it was banning cyclist Lance Armstrong for life and stripping him of his record seven Tour de France titles. Wow....really? Isn't it too harsh on him?

アップルCEO就任から今日で1年。ティム・クックの指揮の下、アップルは未曾有の成長を遂げ、4日前ついにマイクロソフトを抜き時価総額歴代最高を記録した。

クックべた褒め記事の右には、クックが敬愛してやまないランス・アームストロングの凶報。

ドーピングでずっと告発されてきた彼だが、「もう沢山だ」と法廷で争わない意思を昨日発表、これを受け米反ドーピング機関は今日、ツール・ド・フランス史上最高7連覇記録を剥奪し、生涯レース参加停止処分にすることを発表した。一度も認めてないのに...厳しい処分だ。

クック（髪型もアームストロング風に刈り込んでる）は今頃どんな気持ちで紙面を眺めてるんだろうね。
